Admission to the MPPA Program

Grade Point Average (GPA): Applicants are expected to have at least a 3.0 overall GPA in all undergraduate work. We accept applications from applicants who have a wide variety of undergraduate majors. however, most applicants have a degree in the social sciences. We expect that the student will have obtained at least a 3.2 average in their major field of study and in any political science or social science courses taken during the last two years of undergraduate work.

Graduate Record Examination (GRE):  Submission of GRE scores is optional for applicants who have a degree from an accredited U.S. institution.

Letters of Recommendation:  Applicants should identify three individuals who agree to submit letters of recommendation to the Graduate School.  These individuals should be familiar with the applicant's potential for success in completing a challenging graduate professional degree program.

International Applicants

International applicants must also meet the above admission expectations.
International students who either are not native English speakers or who do not have a degree from an accredited U.S. institution must submit TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores totaling at least 550 to be considered for admission. GRE (Graduate Record Examination) scores are also required, with at least a composite score of 302 on the verbal and quantitative parts.
