Krista Weigand Receives Minerva Grant for New Ethinic Conflict Dataset

Dr. Krista Weigand, along with professors at four other univerisites, has received a Minerva grant to collect a new data set on identity claims, where the disagreement centers around the treatment or status of the challenger state's co-ethnics abroad. Cases range from demands for better treatment of the co-ethnics to demands for the group's autonomy, secession, or even unification with the challenger state. The project also involves: Dr. Paul Hensel at Univeristy of North Texas, Dr. Sarah Mitchell at Univeristy of Iowa, and Dr. Andy Owsiak at University of Georgia. The grants covers 2015-2017.
