Will Jennings is a senior lecturer who has helped set the standards for teaching excellence in the department. In addition to his excellence in the classroom, Jennings mentors graduate students when they teach their first courses. He has won numerous teaching awards and now, his achievements are at a national level. The American Political Science Association (APSA), the leading professional organization in the discipline, honored Jennings with the Michael Brintnall Teaching and Learning Award. It is important to put this in context. There are over 20,000 political science instructors across the country. The APSA honors a single stellar teacher and William Jennings is the name on the 2016 award.
