Leslie Schwindt-Bayer earned her Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Arizona in May 2003. She is currently Associate Professor of Political Science at Rice University. Her subfield is comparative politics, and her research interests include Latin America, political institutions, gender and politics, and women’s representation. She has published her research in several journals including the American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, Legislative Studies Quarterly, Electoral Studies, Comparative Political Studies, and Politics & Gender. She has published two books with Oxford University Press.
