Associate Professor Gary Uzonyi represented UT Knoxville in October 2023 when he participated in a faculty exchange program with the University of Genoa, Italy. While at Genoa, he lectured on civil war, genocide, and peacekeeping as a response to these forms of political violence. He also provided a workshop for graduate students on best practices for writing and publishing research papers. Uzonyi met with faculty within the Department of Political and International Sciences, establishing strong connections for collaboration and exchange in the future.
